Navy lacrosse team plays at home against Lafayette on Saturday

Great family entertainment at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis on Saturday when the Navy lacrosse team faces Lafayette. Game time is noon. Navy is 3-2 for the season and 2-0 in the conference.

Navy’s offense is led by Greyson Torain, Jr. (from Glen Burnie), with 9 goals and 6 assists and Jack Ray with 12 goals and 2 assists. Goalie Ryan Kern is recording an 8.60 goals against average with 45 saves, a .511 saves percentage.

Torain and Casey Rees, Sr. (from Baltimore), are in the running for the Tewaaraton Trophy which is awarded each year to the top lacrosse player in the country. Recently Navy stormed back from a 4-2 deficit in the first quarter to beat 20th ranked Bucknell 13-8. The Mids outscored Bucknell 11-4 in the final 45 minutes to secure the win. Sean O’Brien
